FOSTORIA – The American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR Course will be held on Wednesday at
5:30 p.m. at Fostoria Community Hospital. The cost is $60.

Elmore Historical Society to meet
ELMORE – The next meeting of the Elmore Historical Society will be Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Elmore
Retirement Center, Hanneman Hall.
Winners of the Talent Show at the 30th Portage River Festival were first place, Lori Willey, Fremont;
second place, Christian Reasler, Fostoria; third place, Christian Berlin, Oak Harbor; fourth place,
Brian Mahoney, Genoa; fifth place, Sandy Harder, Elmore.
Winners of the Redneck Garden Tractor Pull were Cut Tires 6-8 horsepower, first place Cal Biggent; 8-10
horsepower, Bill Dufendock; 11-12 horsepower, Seth Dobbebre; 13 -16 horsepower, Tim Powell; 17-18
horsepower, Pat Galigher; 19-20 horsepower, Mike Recker. Turf Tires 8-10 horsepower, Hunter Haar; 11-12
horsepower, Joel Sprauge; 17-18 horsepower, Hunter Haar. Unlimited Mike Recker.
Make-A-Wish golf class is Aug. 3
WATERVILLE – The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northwest Ohio will host the Make-A-Wish Golf Classic on Aug.
3, at Fallen Timbers Fairways in Waterville.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m., followed by a shot-gun start at 8:30 a.m. Registration can be as a
foursome for $300 or individual participants for $75.
