John M. Beck, 63, of Grand Rapids and formerly of Bowling Green, died Monday, July 13, 2009.
Mr. Beck was born March 30, 1946 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Merle L. and Alma Mae (Carr). He married
Marsha (Tracy) in September of 1980 and she survives of Grand Rapids.
John was a veteran of the Vietnam war, a Scout Master for the Boy Scouts in Rudolph, served in ARC for
many years, and was a volunteer with Blue Bird Express in Waterville.
John graduated from Westwood High School in 1965.
He was an Electrician for many years at B.G.S.U. and retired due to disability.
Also surviving are his daughter, Carolyn F. Beck of Grand Rapids; son, Steven M. Beck of Grand Rapids;
sisters, Connie L. Grilliot and Graceann Baker, both of Bowling Green; brother, Howard Beck of Bradner.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Judith Mae McAfee.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday (July 17, 2009) at 10:30 a.m. in the Village View
Church of Christ. Rev. David Boswell will officiate. Burial will be in Wingston Cemetery. Visitation
will be held Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Dunn Funeral Home.
