Three injured in one-vehicle crash
Three people were injured in a Liberty Township accident Tuesday, when a vehicle ran off the roadway and
into a ditch.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that a vehicle driven by Morgan Thompson, 16, of Custar, was
traveling north on Liberty Hi Road near Mermill Road at about 12:45 p.m. and crossed the center line.
The vehicle continued off the left side of the roadway and came to rest upright in a ditch. Thompson and
an 8-year-old and 9-year-old passenger were transported by Weston and Bowling Green EMS to Wood County
Hospital with non-incapacitating injuries. Life Flight was placed on standby due to the temporary
entrapment.
No citations have been issued; the incident is under investigation.
Motorcycle Fun Run is Saturday in Weston
WESTON – A "Blind Pig Fun Run" will be held Saturday to aid two women with serious health
issues.
The event will include a raffle, silent auction, food and live entertainment to benefit Sarah Tiell and
Judy Youngs. Tiell has hydrocephalus, a life-threatening disease that causes blindness, severe headaches
and seizures. Youngs has glaucoma but lung issues are preventing her from getting help with her vision.

Registration is from 8 to 11:30 a.m. The first bike out will be at noon from Redneck Willy’s on Main
Street. Dinner will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Admission costs are $10 for a single biker; $18 for a double; non-biker single $8; couples $14; children
6 and under are free; children 7 to 13 are $4.
