The Wood County Senior Center is offering "The Wii Fitness Challenge" for those with an
interest in learning about how virtual technology can provide motivation, fun and interaction while
aiming to keep you fit and healthy.
Some of the participants have mastered the Wii Bowling and now are looking for a greater challenge with
the Wii Fit. Sue Potter, enjoy the sessions and find them "fun and a new type of challenge."

The goals of the sessions are to improve and maintain wellness through lifestyle awareness. Participants
find it beneficial in increasing and maintaining range of motion in their joints, strengthening their
muscles and increasing their endurance, flexibility and balance.
The sessions are being offered on Wednesday evenings for one hour, with more sessions starting this
month.
"These sessions are planned in the early evening to encourage those that are still working to come
after work and take part in a great experience," said Jessi Trigg, program specialist.
Each session has been planned to have a different focus and was arranged by Amber Cable, a community
volunteer. Some areas of focus include yoga, balancing, minor aerobic challenges, and reaction time
testing.
The hope is that individuals notice an improvement in their day-to-day functional mobility. Sponsorship
assistance is from A to Z Healthcare.
