The Sentinel-Tribune will not be published on Saturday so the newspaper’s employees will be able to enjoy
the Fourth of July holiday with their families.

Portage Quarry hosts Country Blowout
The Portage Quarry at 12701 S. Dixie Highway will host a Country Blowout Saturday from 4 to 11 p.m. The
concert will feature the Backroads Band from 4 to 5:50 p.m.; Uptown Country from 6 to 7:30 p.m.; and Tim
Omark and Southern Justice from 8 to 11 p.m.
Admission is $12 and the rain date is Sunday.
Food will be sold.

BG meter change scheduled next week
During the week of July 6, crews will be working in the following areas to install Bowling Green’s new
automatic meter reading system:
¥ Napoleon Road, Eighth Street, High Street, and South College Avenue
¥ Parkview Estates
Specific information on the change was provided to customers in their May utility statement. This
information, along with frequently asked questions about the process, is also on the city Web site at
www.bgohio.org.
Installation is being performed by HD Supply. Employees will carry identification. Those not home at the
time of the HD representative visit will be left information to contact the company to make an
appointment.
Perrysburg finance meeting Tuesday
PERRYSBURG – Tuesday at 6:50 p.m., the Finance Committee of Perrysburg City Council will hold a special
meeting to consider the estimated revenues for the 2010 budget.
The meeting will be held in the Municipal Building, 201 W. Indiana Ave.
Walbridge unit Ddploys to Iraq
Maj. Gen. Gregory L. Wayt, Ohio adjutant general, will honor 180 soldiers from the Ohio Army National
Guard’s 1483rd Transportation Company, 371st Sustainment Brigade, Walbridge, as they prepare to deploy
for their yearlong deployment to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The public is invited to the unit’s deployment ceremony at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Owens Community College,
30335 Oregon Road, Perrysburg.
The soldiers will mobilize out of Ft. McCoy, Wis., where the unit will receive theatre-specific training
to prepare them for their mission in Iraq.
The unit is a transportation company and will be providing transportation assets to various units.
