Community worship in Weston
WESTON – As part of the Weston Days festival this weekend, there will be a united community worship
service involving the Weston churches on Sunday.
Worshippers will gather at School House Park at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Chris Boggs of Sonlight Assembly of God
will deliver the sermon, "While Men Slept." The praise band Let it Rise will provide the music
for the service.
A community potluck picnic will follow.
Those attending are asked to bring their own lawn chair.
In case of bad weather the service will be moved inside at the Church of Christ.
Miller adds Cygnet church to his service
Pastor David Miller, who has been serving Trinity United Methodist Church in Bloomdale, is also now the
pastor of Faith United Methodist in Cygnet. His first service at Faith will be Sunday.
Movies being shown
Wood County Baptist Church, 14161 Dirlam Road, will hold its bi-weekly "Movie Night" next
Friday at 7 p.m.
Organizers plan a night of entertainment, snacks and refreshments. The event is free and open to the
public.
The July 3 movie will be "The List," a Dove family-approved film.
Children’s movies are also shown.
Those attending are invited to bring their own favorite chair or bean bag.
Church offers respite
BLOOMDALE – As part of the Bloomdale garage sales, Trinity United Methodist Church will hold a basement
sale and offer food for sale. The church is air conditioned allowing avid shoppers to cool down during
the sales. The sales are being held today and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Kenneth Stage golf returns
The 12th annual Kenneth Stage memorial golf outing will be held July 18, beginning at 7:45 a.m. at
Forrest Creason Golf Course at Bowling Green State University.
The format will again be a four-person scramble. Individual registrations are welcome.
Registration forms are available at Weston Church of Christ, Main Street Station and Weston Grain
Elevator in Weston as well as at the golf course and Bowling Green Manor.

Vacation Bible school listings
A listing of the vacation Bible schools submitted for July were published on a special religion page on
Thursday.
The original plan as previously announced was for the schools submitted to be published today.
