Mud Hens take two from ‘Wings


ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Toledo swept a doubleheader with Rochester Sunday, winning Game 1, 6-4, and Game 2,
3-1. The Mud Hens are 30-38 in the International League.
In Game 1, Toledo scored four times in the fourth inning en route to the win. Clete Thomas and Jeff
Larish each drove in two runs to lead the Mud Hens’ offense. Mud Hens’ starter Ruddy Lugo picked up the
win, allowing three earned runs on seven hits in five innings.
In Game 2, Toledo out-hit Rochester 13-5 and won in 11 innings. Fu-Te Ni picked up the win in relief,
pitching two scoreless inning to finish the game. Scott Sizemore and Clete Thomas each had three hits,
with Sizemore driving in two runs.
Saturday’s game between the teams was rained out.
