Harold C. Nye, 72, of Alvada, died Friday (June 19, 2009) at his home.
Harold was a sales representative for Fostoria Industries and Michigan Oven, and a lifelong Hancock
County farmer
Surviving locally is a daughter, Amy L. Munger, Bowling Green, and a sister, Norma Jean Simonis, of
Fostoria.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Chapel, Alvada. The New
Riegel American Legion will have an honor guard and flag presentation following the funeral. Burial will
be in St. Peter Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Hoening Funeral Home, Fostoria, where a
Christian wake service will be held at 3:45 p.m. Additional visitation will be held at the church
beginning at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to Bridge Hospice, American Cancer Society, or All Saints Church in New Riegel.
