Erica Gelhaus new Miss Ohio; BGSU’s Minger 1st runner-up

MANSFIELD – Erica Gelhaus, 21, of St. Henry, will represent Ohio in the Miss America pageant in Los Vegas
after earning the title of Miss Ohio – and a $10,000 scholarship – during the Miss Ohio Scholarship
Pageant on Saturday.
Becky Minger, a 21-year-old student at Bowling Green State University, was named first runner-up on
Saturday in Mansfield during the annual pageant.
Minger, of Sylvania, won a $4,500 scholarship during the event held at the Renaissance Theatre, where she
competed with 23 other young women from around the state. She was competing as Miss Fallen Timbers.
Minger also finished as first runner-up in 2006 as well as at last year’s state pageant.
She won the preliminary swimsuit competition on Thursday night and competed in talent on Wednesday and in
