Army National Guard Pvt. David E. Pugh has graduated from the Direct Fire Infantryman one station unit
training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. It combines nine-week basic combat training with advanced
individual training of fire infantry soldiers to fire and recover anti-personnel and anti-tank mines;
locate, neutralize and extract mines; operate communications equipment; operate and maintain mortars and
fire control equipment.
A 2004 graduate of Bowling Green Senior High School, he is the son of John Pugh of Orleans Avenue,
Bowling Green, and Jill Corral, Toledo.
