The Wood County Committee on Aging is currently scheduling their cholesterol screening clinics for July.
Participants must be a resident of Wood County and 45 or older.
The cost is $20 for age 60 and over, and $25 for those ages 45-59.
The screening panel includes: Total cholesterol, HDL (good cholesterol), LDL (bad cholesterol),
triglycerides, total cholesterol/HDL ratio and a blood glucose level.
Results will be immediately available and will be discussed with clients by a registered nurse from
WCCOA.
Dates and locations of the clinics are as follows:
Bowling Green – Tuesdays, July 7 and July 28
Perrysburg – Thursday, July 2
Northeast/Walbridge – Thursday, July 9
North Baltimore – Wednesday, July 29
Pemberville – Thursday, July 30
The screenings require an appointment and fasting of 12-14 hours prior to the test. Call 1-800-367-4935
