To the Editor: Switch to digital TV proved costly

0

Whose idea was this, anyway?
In this depressed economy, Americans must now either add cable or satellite monthly bills to their
budget, or purchase converter boxes, new antennas, and assorted cables to gain poor reception to our
"new and improved" digital TV.
You can’t stay home and watch TV, it no longer comes in consistently. You are behind on the news, maybe
this was intended. Can’t complain if you don’t know what your government is doing now. The landfills are
filling up with outdated TVs. (I’ve seen no recent ads to recycle them.)
All this to provide more airways for the cell phone talker/texters. We wouldn’t want anyone to have a
dropped call while driving our nation’s streets and highways.
Try to keep up. Read your newspaper.
