BGSU volleyball sets schedule
The Bowling Green volleyball program has four pre-conference tournaments on its schedule as well as 16
Mid-American Conference games.
"Our 2009 schedule is another great one," BG head coach Denise Van De Walle said. "We’re
playing a wide variety of teams to get us ready for the MAC, including five teams with RPI’s better than
65. We’re playing teams from the Big Ten and the Big 12, as well as perennial powerhouse Northern Iowa
and Northeast Conference champion Robert Morris. We have our work cut out for us, but it will be a good
test of our young team to see how we are progressing."
Bowling Green opens the season Aug. 28-29 at the Duquesne/Robert Morris Invitational. The home opener is
the Best Western Falcon Plaza Invitational Sept. 11-13.
The conference season starts Sept. 25 with a home match against Akron.
Van De Walle starts the season needing 13 victories to reach 500 for her 27-year BG career.
The complete schedule is on page 11 today.
BGSU recruit named to jr. national football team
