Beaver Creek Boosters
The Beaver Creek Boosters 4-H Club met Sunday.
Several members gave demonstrations including Bill Potter with a tractor demonstration; Caleb Baus on gun
safety Eva Scott on cleaning a saddle; Buddy Limes on fishing; and Kendra Limes, on making strawberry
yogurt popsicles.
The group made paper bowls to be displayed in the fair booth. Livestock entry forms were discussed. The
next meeting is June 28 and will feature the "Quality Assurance" training.
Gold Medal
The Gold Medal 4-H Club met May 26 as they toured the South Suburban Animal Hospital in Perrysburg, led
by Dr. Eisenhour.
She explained many types of procedures veterinarians may perform on a regular basis. Members viewed
several exam rooms, the pharmacy, and were able to interact with animals that were up for adoption.
After a tour of the facility, the group viewed several x-rays to see various health concerns for
different animals.
Members held a meeting in the yard of the hospital after.
Several people gave demonstrations. Raegan Vickers explained how a plant grows. Nick Frank gave a
demonstration about the different types of poetry. And Miranda Frank gave a demonstration about how
different paintings would look with different techniques.
Club members began brainstorming ideas for the float for the Wood County Fair.
When the meeting ended, members and their families and friends were able to eat at Max and Erma’s in
Perrysburg for a fundraiser.
The next meeting will be June 17 at the Vickers’ home.
