McCLURE – Steven F. Haas, 49, of McClure, died Tuesday (June 2, 2009) at home.
An Air Force veteran, he serve as a sergeant and a crew chief on an F15, stationed in Germany, England,
and New Mexico.
He was a self-employed carpenter.
Mr. Haas was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the American Legion, both in McClure.
Born Dec. 11, 1959 in Shelbyville, Ind., to Gordon and Sherry (Cooley) Haas, he married Anni Sorensen in
Aalborg, Denmark, on April 16, 1981. She survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Christine Baldonado, Deshler; Tani Haas, Napoleon; and Jolene Haas,
of McClure; a son, Jonathan, of Columbus; his parents, in Napoleon; a sister, Teresa Hobson,
Shelbyville, Ind.; a brother, Darin Haas, Clarksville, Tenn.; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Eric, and a granddaughter, Harmony Faith Haas.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow at Hockman Cemetery,
McClure, with military honors accorded by the Legion.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, McClure. Additional visitation
will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
