Donations needed for Bradner fireworks
BRADNER – The village’s Day in the Park and Parade committee is seeking financial donations from area
residents and businesses for fireworks to conclude the event’s festivities.
While fireworks are a tradition at the festival, this year the committee hoped to have a ground display
to be viewed at the park.
Since committee members know economic times are tough, even small donations will be appreciated. They can
be sent to committee member Linda Wildman at 516 E. Crocker St., Bradner, Ohio 43406.
New to the festival this year will be a beer tent and band that will end the day.
Children’s Services called to Bradner
BRADNER – Wood County Children’s Services is following up on an incident involving a nude 5-year-old boy
who wandered from his home on Crocker Street.
Sunday morning, shortly after 7, the boy, who had a blanket wrapped around him, knocked on a neighbor’s
door.
The boy’s older brother said he thought the youngster was asleep.
Bradner EMS, as well as the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, were called to check the child.
Children’s Services spoke with the mother about the incident and will follow up with her at a later date.
