BOWLING GREEN
Pastor Ken Mellon’s sermon Sunday at Abiding Word Evangelical Lutheran Church will be "Continue in
Jesus’ Love." The farewell meal for Mellon will be held at 11:45 a.m.
Jim Brosius will be the guest speaker Sunday at Bowling Green Alliance Church.
Evangelist Harold Driver’s sermon Sunday morning at Bowling Green Church of Christ will be "One or
the Other." Michael McCurdy will preach at a 1 p.m. service on "Why We Need the Bible."

"We are a Public Letter of Recommendation," will be Rev. Michael Malanga’s message Sunday at
Bowling Green Covenant Church.
Pastor Kevin Crawford will be speaking on "OMG Life Seems Unfair: Waiting on God From
Habakkuk," Sunday at Brookside Church.
Rev. Mack Armstrong’s sermon Sunday at Cloverdale United Methodist Church will be "Pithy
Pronouncements Proves Permanence.
Members of First Baptist Church will hear a report from their missionary to Brazil, David Spink at the
Sunday morning service. A luncheon will follow. Pastor Brian Snyder’s evening message will be
"Elijah and the Whirlwind."
Rev. Brent Pomeroy’s sermon Sunday at First Christian Church will be "The Necessity of Love."
Following worship, the youth will host a "Potato Bake" fundraiser.
The youth service at First Presbyterian Church will be held Sunday, with students being confirmed as they
join the church. Graduating seniors will also be celebrated and third-graders will receive Bibles. A
reception will follow the service.
Dr. Vernon Wolcott, the church’s organist, will be honored by the Toledo chapter of American Guild of
Organists on Tuesday with a recital on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the church.
Youth Sunday will be observed at First United Methodist Church. The youth of the church have planned,
written and will perform the entire service at both worship times. Mossu Mountain will perform and high
school graduates will also be recognized.
The program Sunday at Maumee Valley Unitarian Universalist Congregation will be the third annual
"Poetry Sunday" presented by Sara Mattson.
Pastor Gary Gutknecht’s sermon will continue his series on "Life Lessons From the Disciples,"
Sunday at Northside Baptist Church.
Delroy Simpson’s message Sunday at Plain Congregational Church will be "The Nature of the Christian
Gospel."
Pastor Larry Whatley’s sermon Sunday at Turning Point United Methodist Church will be "The Storm Is
Passing Over."
The sermon by David K. Boswell, minister, Sunday at Village View Church of Christ be "Parables of
Jesus: Seed Power."
"Enemies Within," will be Dr. David Lindeblad’s sermon Sunday morning at Wood County Baptist
Church. The church will host a movie night next Friday.
