Wineland to leave Wayne church
WAYNE – There will be a farewell barbecue potluck on Sunday at noon for Rev. Betty Wineland and her
family following the worship service at Wayne United Methodist Church.
Meat, beverage and table service will be provided. Those attending should bring a dish to share to fill
out the meal.
Wineland and her family will be moving at the end of June to accept a new appointment.
The public is invited to attend the potluck.
‘Fireproof’ to be shown
Bowling Green Alliance Church, 1161 Napoleon Road, will be showing the movie "Fireproof" on
Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
The public is invited to attend, and church organizers encourage people to bring family and friends to
the event.
Popcorn and refreshments will be provided.
North Baltimore churches honor new graduates
NORTH BALTIMORE – The public is invited to join the North Baltimore Area Cooperative Ministry organizers
in celebration with the North Baltimore High School Class of 2009.
The annual baccalaureate service will be held on May 26 at 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd United Methodist
Church, 119 W. Broadway St., North Baltimore.
"This is our opportunity to bless our graduating seniors and pray them on their way," says Rev.
Susan J. Kronbach of the host church.
Movie night planned
Wood County Baptist Church, 14161 Dirlam Road, will host the move, "The Moment After 2," next
Friday at 6:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public. It is suggested for those attending to bring a comfortable
folding chair. Soft drinks and treats will be provided at no cost.
VBS deadlines set
As summer nears, it is once again time for the publication of information on Vacation Bible Schools.
Organizers from the various schools who wish to have their schools listed on these pages should observe
the following deadlines.
Those schools being held in June will be published on May 29. All information should be received no later
than noon on May 27.
July schools will be be published on June 26. Deadline for that information will be noon on June 24.
Any August schools will be published on July 31, with a deadline of July 29.
Information which should be provided would be dates, times and places of the school, ages involved,
registration cost and information and theme. Also, the listings will include any special closing program
and other events of interest.
