The Wood County Committee on Aging, Inc. has been awarded a grant in the amount of $1,000 from the Meals
on Wheels Association of America’s (MOWAA) March for Meals campaign, in partnership with Subaru of
America, Inc.
March for Meals is an annual national campaign during the month of March, initiated by MOWAA, which seeks
to raise awareness of senior hunger and to encourage action on the part of the local community.
This year, more than 30 elected officials, including regional and state representatives, mayors, judges,
township officials and other community champions took part in WCCOA’s March for Meals campaign.
WCCOA appreciates those elected officials and community champions who participated in this year’s event.
The grant money will allow the organization to continue its mission of enriching the lives of older
adults in Wood County.
