Jewelry workshop, wine and cheese event May 23
PERRYSBURG - Perrysburg Commons Retirement Center, 10542 Fremont Pike, will host an evening of Wine and Cheese next Wednesday from 4:30 - 6:30 p.m. A Jewelry Making Workshop is also planned as part of the event.
The public is invited to this evening out with friends.  A variety of wines and cheeses will be served and Gayle Walterbach, owner of Coyote Beads & Jewelry, will be teaching attendees how to make a ribbon bracelet to take home.

An elder-abuse gerontology conference is being held May 31 at Holy Cross College, Notre Dame, Ind.
"We've Got Your Back: Protecting Our Seniors," slated from 8 a.m. until 4:15 p.m., is a conference for professionals (medical, social work, emergency services, financial, law enforcement), families, and the public.
The keynote speaker will be deputy district attorney and elder abuse expert Paul Greenwood of San Diego. Greenwood is head of Elder Abuse Prosecutions for the San Diego County District Attorney's Office.
This fifth annual conference is being preceded by a special film event on May 30 from 6-8 p.m. The statewide premier of the new documentary "Last Will & Embezzlement," starring Mickey Rooney, will include the filmmaker leading a discussion and question-and-answer session following the film.
