To the Editor: Writer finds humor in Sentinel ‘trolls’

Like many, I am an animal lover, and as such I was delighted to find that the Sentinel has acquired it’s
very own web troll. It’s difficult to determine the exact origin or taxonomy of these creatures; but
periodically they emerge from the sewer lines to ply their noxious trade. Our particular troll is a
left-winger, and as such he exhibits all the traits that so endear the Loony Left to the rest of us. In
his posts, we find him excoriating others for making what he terms, "vicious personal
attacks," while simultaneously deriding those who disagree with him as "angry,"
"mind-bogglingly stupid," "moronic," and "idiotic." This is a classic
example of what psychiatrists call projection.
It is also, unfortunately, something we see all too often in the mainstream media; in Hollywood; and
especially in the world of academia, where aging Marxist professors angrily shout down anyone who would
dare disagree with their warped views.
In reviewing our trolls’ copious posts, it is apparent that he is one of those poor benighted souls who,
lacking any cognitive ability, turn in desperation to the scribblers at Mother Jones to tell them what
to think and what to believe. These are exactly the sort of low-information/no-information voters who
have elected the most corrupt, incompetent, narcissistic President in American history. And while it is
tempting to condemn them for doing this, I would remind my fellow readers that it is cruel to speak
unkindly of the intellectually disadvantaged.
Some view web trolls as odious, twisted little creatures, but I personally find them entertaining – sort
of like exotic animals in a zoo. So to the Sentinel-Tribune’s official troll-in-residence I say,
"Troll on, baby, troll on! And let us hear from you soon."
