To the Editor: Bipartisan voices cooperate at business forum in D.C.

I recently had the opportunity to attend the Business Forward round table forum at the White House. Vital
issues were discussed during the over four-hour meeting with administration officials. The importance of
small business, job growth, regulatory reform, ACA implementation and the value of infrastructure
investment were included. As a small business owner I was glad to hear of the administrations plans to
increase investment in roads, bridges and public transportation. This crucial investment in our
communities creates high paying jobs, connects people and helps fuel the growth of small businesses in
Bowling Green and beyond.
A restaurant manager, medical device manufacturer, public worker and a coffee shop owner along with
others all had the chance to present issues that were important to them. I believe we all left with a
positive feeling that White House officials were listening and open to good ideas. Hardworking middle
class Americans had an opportunity to have their voices heard. Bipartisan voices from all over Ohio
shared their desire for cooperation and a vision for a better tomorrow.
