TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — The University of Toledo’s president says he will step down in little over a year.

Lloyd Jacobs announced Friday that he will leave his post at the end of June 2015.
He has been at the university the past eight years and before that led the former Medical University of
Ohio in Toledo.
During
Jacobs’ time as president, the University of Toledo finished off its
largest capital fund campaign in history, raising $106 million.
The
school’s board leader, Joseph Zerbey, says Jacobs plans to lead a new
Institute of University Transformation that will focus on using
technology to improve learning, increase access, and reduce costs for
students.
