Ohio toddler sustains burns in scalding water, man held

CLEVELAND (AP) — Cleveland police say a 1-year-old girl was
submerged in scalding water this weekend at a home on the city’s East
Side, severely burning her.
Police told The Plain Dealer
(http://bit.ly/1ji9IGF) on Sunday that a 23-year-old man has been
arrested on a child-endangering charge but did not release his identity.
A police report says that paramedics responded to a report of an unconscious toddler on Saturday
afternoon.
The
report says the girl sustained second-degree burns from the waist down.
She was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.
Police have declined to release further information.
