Dale Ziegler, age 77, of Bloomdale, passed away on Thursday August 6, 2009 at Wood County Hospital,
Bowling Green.
Dale was born on December 23, 1931in Bloomdale to the late Arden and Ruth (Fry) Ziegler. He married
Beverly J. Roose on June 16, 1951 in Fostoria and she survives in Bloomdale.
Also surviving are his sons, Kevin W. (Gayleen) Ziegler, Bloomdale, and Larry D. (Terri) Ziegler,
Northwood, eight grandchildren, Kevin Lee, Matthew, Kyle, Sandy, Candice, Stacy, Laryn, Lisa; four
great-grandchildren Ashlee, Kaleigh, Brady and Payton; and two brothers Dallas Ziegler, North Baltimore,
and Richard Ziegler, Maumee, also survive.
He was a 1949 Bloomdale High School graduate and served in the Army during the Korean War.
He worked for Seneca Wire Mfg. Company for 44 years, retiring in May of 1994.
He also was a part-time Farmer which he considered his hobby. He was a former member of The Elks Club and
the Bloomdale Sr. Citizens, North Baltimore.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 337, a former Alcoholic Anonymous board member, and is a
member of the Wood Co. Farm Bureau and Wood Co. Historical Museum. He was also a former member of First
Wood County Families and a member of the Union United Methodist Church, Baird Road, Fostoria.
Visitation will be on Monday August 10, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at MANN-HARE-HOENING FUNERAL
HOME, 407 N. Countyline St., Fostoria.
Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday August 11, 2009 at the funeral home. Burial will follow
at Weaver Cemetery, Bloomdale, where the United Veterans of Fostoria will provide Military Honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Union United Methodist Church memorial fund.
