Whetsel-obit-photoDarrell H. Whetsel, 76, of Fostoria, Ohio, died Monday, March 17, 2014 at Toledo Hospital.
He was born January 14, 1938 in Cygnet, Ohio, to Melvin and Lillian (Short) Whetsel. He married Luella Faye Chambers on August 18, 1956 in Mt. Zion Church, Wayne, Ohio, and she survives in Fostoria.
Also surviving is a daughter, Cindy (Rex) Reinhart of Fostoria; two sons, Rick (Louan) Whetsel of Risingsun and Bill (Eileen) Whetsel of Fostoria; two sisters, Kathy Burmeister and Rosalie Arndt; grandchildren, Candice Fought, Ashley Whetsel, Olivia Braun, Trent and Brody Whetsel; stepgrandchildren, Darci Graber and Desi Holcomb; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Wayne Whetsel; a daughter, Sharon Kay Whetsel; and two brothers, Ronnie and Joe Whetsel.
Mr. Whetsel retired in 1996 from the city of Fostoria.

Virginia E. (Northrup) King went to her heavenly home on March 18, 2014 after a month stay at Bridge Hospice in Bowling Green.
Virginia was born February 26, 1926 to Henry and Florence Northrup, in North Baltimore, Ohio. She was raised by her maternal grandparents John and Bertha Dulaney and married the love of her life William (Bill) King April 2, 1946 in Bowling Green, OH.
She lived in the area all her life except from 1980 to 1994 when she lived in Ocala, Florida.
She worked in the lab at Libby Owens Rossford Plant during WWII. She also worked for 15 years in the kitchen at Community Nursing Home (now BG Care Center).
Surviving is her husband Bill; daughter, Beverly Gonzales, McClure, OH; one grandson, Jeffery William (Rosa) of Bryan, OH; three great-grandchildren, Allison Marie, Emmanuel and Israel; a foster son, Joe Hagemeyer (Trina) of Hoytville; and a family friend, Tussy.

Donald E. Morehouse, 83, formerly of Perrysburg, most recently of Camden, ME, passed away on Monday (March 17, 2014) in Camden, ME.
Visitation: 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Marsh Funeral Home, Luckey, with funeral services at 11 a.m.

Services for Dr. Ray Steiner will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, at First Christian Church, 875 Haskins Rd., Bowling Green.
Visitation previously scheduled for Friday has been cancelled.
Dr. Steiner died on Feb. 13, 2014.

Jospeh-Lee-1 Joseph Lee, age 92, of Waterville, Ohio passed away peacefully on March 7, 2014 in Lakes of Monclova surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph was born on February 24, 1922 in Hingning, Guangdong, China to Mr. and Mrs. Lee.
He graduated from high school in the Meijiang District. In 1941, he graduated from college.
From 1941 to 1944, he was captain of a central government station in Changsha. In 1944, he moved to the Nanking region, and then in 1946 he moved to Shanghai and worked for the CAT company, responsible for radio communications with airplanes. In 1946, he married his first wife, Cecilia Tang Yuan, and they left communist China for Hong Kong where he worked in the textile/export industry.
In 1963, Joseph and his family immigrated to the United States of America and lived in Toledo, Ohio.
Joseph was preceded in death by Cecilia Tang Yuan who passed away in 1963. He later married Jennifer Lee in 1968.
Joseph worked for Sears Roebuck & Company for 25 years and was the owner of Lee's Restaurant in Waterville, Ohio and BG Café in Bowling Green, Ohio.
