Obit-Picture-Louise-SmithLouise C. Smith, 95, of Portage, Ohio, passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014, in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Louise was born on April 5, 1919 on the family farm located on Cloverdale Road in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late George and Edith (Aufdenkamp) Hagemeyer. She married William H. Smith Jr., on February 13, 1943 at Hope Lutheran Church, Bowling Green, Ohio and he preceded her in death on May 17, 1992.
Louise was a lifelong resident of Wood County and attended Cloverdale and Portage Township Schools; during high school, she enjoyed playing on the school basketball team.
Louise was an active member of Hope Lutheran Church, where she served as the organist, taught Sunday School, pre-school, she was very active in the churches Luther League program both as a youth and as an adult and she was a faithful member of the Ladies Aide Society of Hope Lutheran Church.

Hagemeyer-AliceHAGEMEYER, Alice Rose - age 88, of Highland, MI, died peacefully at her home, Tuesday, April 29, 2014.
Services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Highland Congregational Church, 1605 N. Hickory Ridge Rd, Highland, MI. Dr. Gary Evans officiating.
Visitation will be held at the church Saturday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
Those desiring may make contributions to the Highland Congregational Church.
Alice was born September 10, 1925 in Saline, MI, the daughter of Oscar and Clara (Bredernitz) Klein.
She was a graduate and valedictorian at Saline High School.

Dale K. DeRammelaere, age 77, of Perrysburg, OH formerly of Woodville, OH passed away on Tuesday afternoon, April 29, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg Unit.
He was born on November 25, 1936 in Toledo, OH to Julius and Margaret (Mourray) DeRammelaere. He married Shirley Aspacher in1956 and she preceded him in death in 1990.
Dale was employed 30 years at Norfolk Southern Railroad, Oregon, OH as an office manager, retiring in 1998.
His membership included: Solomon Lutheran Church Woodville, OH, former church council member and had also been a Woodville Village Councilman.
Dale was an OSU and Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed watching their games.
Dale is survived by his children: Terry (Kelly Miller) of Marysville, OH, Traci Kincaid of Daytona Beach, FL; grandchildren: Braeton DeRammelaere, Tyler and Cody Russell; sister: Dawn Freeman of Toledo, OH; and companion: Rita Fisher of Perrysburg, OH.

Baer-obit-photoEthel V. (Alspaugh) Baer passed away peacefully from her life's journey on April 21, 2014 at the age of 92.
She was born February 27, 1922 in Weston, Ohio to Byron and Maude (Craft) Wood.
For 29 years, she was the Secretary to the Treasurer for the Maumee Board of Education.
Ethel was a life member of both Hampton Park Christian Church and Eastern Stars. She never had idle hands or moments in her life and thoroughly enjoyed her retirement traveling and visiting many extended family members and friends.

Thelma-Smith-Obit-PhotoThelma Eileen Partee Smith died on April 25, 2014 at the Kingston Residence of Perrysburg, Ohio.
She was born on December 17, 1932 to Owen Wayne and Zepherine Hazel Robarge Partee in Bryan, Ohio.
She graduated from Stryker High School in 1950 and from Bowling Green State University in 1954 with dual majors in vocal and instrumental music.
She married Robert (Bob) Lee Smith on August 27, 1954. They had three children: Gregory in 1955, Philip in 1959, and Lisa in 1964.
Throughout the 1970s she substitute taught in Perrysburg elementary schools. In the 1980s and 1990s, she worked in Accounts Payable at Owens Illinois for seven years and then as the Office Manager at Way Public Library for twenty years where she retired.
