After a life of sharing stories, jokes and hugs, tractor mechanic, husband, father, and grandfather Dennis R. Smith, 65, of rural Tiffin, told his final story of life on March 3, 2014, after battling cancer.
With a passion for anything mechanical and a home-grown farm boy, Dennis' life was an illustration of faith, personal integrity, compassion and laughter.
Dennis was born Sept. 15, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio to George A. and Eileen (Williams) Smith of Bowling Green, Ohio.
He was a graduate of the former Glenwood High School in Canton, Ohio and the Nashville Auto Diesel College in Tennessee.
Dennis married his soul mate, Patricia (Bostdorff), on Aug. 21, 1971 in Bowling Green.
Dennis was always very proud of their children, Melissa (Jerome) Kong of Dublin, Ohio and Heidi (Glen) Farmer of Sheboygan, WI. He enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as sharing his love of tractors with his grandsons Marshall Kong and Gabriel Farmer.
With a special fondness for the Allis-Chalmers of his childhood, Dennis or Smitty as he was known, was a mechanic for Streacker Tractor Sales for 42 years and a serviceman with the Ohio National Guard. "Dad Smith" to countless students his wife taught, he was one always ready to give and receive a hug and lend a helping hand, particularly as a member of Bascom United Methodist Church.

Clyde W. Brown, 91, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014.
Clyde was born in North Baltimore, Ohio to the late Charles Harley and Emily Jane (Brown) Brown. He married Helen "Betty" M. Blair on May 27, 1944 in the First Christian Church, Bowling Green, and she preceded him in death on October 15, 2007.
Clyde is survived by a son: David (Barb) W. Brown of Haskins, Ohio; two daughters: Suzanne (Tom) Maas of Custar, Ohio and Beth (Johnny) Plata of Weston, Ohio; six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
Clyde was also preceded in death by an infant sister: Emily Janice Brown; and three brothers: Dwight, Kenneth and George Brown.
Clyde graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1941. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII.
Clyde worked at the former Daybrooks until 1958. He was the Vice President of Sales and a Manager at Henry Filters in Bowling Green until his retirement in November 1982.
Clyde attended Harvard Business School, where he took business classes for Henry Filters.
He was a 49-year member of the Tontogany American Legion Post 441 and a member since the age of 13 at the First Christian Church, Bowling Green.

Dean Isaacs Sr. died in the company of his family at 10:47 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2014.
Dean will be remembered for the fun-loving family man he was. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He retired from Hearthside Food Solutions, McComb. He was an avid hunter who loved a good joke, and was often found palling around with his grandsons Kaden and Dallas.
Dean is survived by his wife, Linda K. (Wise) Isaacs; children, Dean "Buck" (Dawn) Isaacs Jr., John (Christy) Isaacs, Tracie (Neil) Longworth, and Dusti (Nick) Tolles; sisters, Mary (James) Foster, Trudy and Vicky Isaacs, Patty Walker; 19 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ruby (Helberg) Isaacs; stepmother. Jo (Helberg) Isaacs; siblings, David, Robert and Janet Isaacs; and grandson Zachery.
A memorial service for Dean is pending and will be announced to family and friends.

Suzanne K. Buzza, 72, of Walbridge Ohio, died Sunday, March 2, 2014 in Gaylord, Michigan.
She was born in Walbridge on January 30, 1942 to Thomas (Doris Carson) Hill. She married Henry W. Buzza on May 24, 1963 in Walbridge and he survives.
Sue worked as a truck driver, working alongside her husband.
Surviving are her son, Michael (Melissa) Buzza, granddaughter Caitlyn M. Buzza, and sister Twyla Hill.
Sue was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Danielle.
Friends will be received in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St., Walbridge, Ohio 43465 (419-666-3121) from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, where funeral services will be Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 2 p.m.
Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
Sue's passion was snowmobiling and being a grandmother.

Darrell L. Reef
Darrell L. Reef, age 78, of Gibsonburg, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 3, 2014 at Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Center, Toledo, OH.
He was born on September 15, 1935 in Gibsonburg, OH, to Louis and Esther (Kaemming) Reef. On December 30, 1961 he married Bonnie Walter in Sumner, Iowa and she preceded him in death on June 22, 2005.
Darrell was a lifelong farmer and worked over 25 years for Woodville Township as a maintenance worker.
His memberships included S.C.R.A.P., lifetime member of the Woodville Twp. Fire Department and former advisor for 4-H Woodville Buckeyes.
In his spare time he enjoyed restoring tractors, spending time with his family and especially attending his grandchildren's activities.
Darrell served his country proudly while enlisted in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1962.
Surviving Darrell are his children: Kim Berfield of Woodville, Dean (Debi) Reef of Pemberville, Deb (Jim) Hostottle of Gibsonburg; grandchildren: Josh, Ben, Derek, Jacob, Andrew, Tyler and Melissa; great-grandchildren: Cali and Aubri; and special friend: Carol Ameling of Woodville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bonnie and brother, Arnold Reef.
