KrabillE-obitEsther D. Krabill, 97 of Bowling Green, Ohio, died Monday, May 14, 2012 in Toledo, Ohio.
She was born December 28, 1914 in Greenville, Ohio, to William E. and Estella (Shives) Drill. She married David M. Krabill on August 31, 1940 and he preceded her in death on June 23, 2003.
She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, including the United Methodist women, Phi Beta Kappa, University women, Wood County Hospital Wheeled Meals and Wood County Hospital Guild.
Esther was a retired Mathematics teacher for the Bowling Green City schools and Bowling Green State University.
Esther is survived by her daughter, Carolyn (Michael) Geiger of Fremont, sons, James of Raleigh, NC., Daniel (Barbara) of McLean, Va., Lawrence (Kathryn) of Wilson, NC., nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.

Iris L. Kistner, of McClure, Ohio was lovingly embraced by her Lord and Savior, as she passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee, Ohio. Hence began a heavenly reunion with her husband, Don E., daughters, Karen Harmon, Sandra L. Johnston, and son, Jon E.
Her Legacy…Iris was born July 6, 1925 in McClure, Ohio to the late Lloyd Raymond and Katherine (March) Merillat-Maiers. She graduated from Damascus Local School in 1943. She met and later married her husband, Don E. Kistner, of 55 years. She was a caring mother of eleven children; daughters, Karen (Gary) Harmon, Mary Ann (Roger) Johnson, Donna (Rodney) Jones, Sandra (Ray) Johnston, Linda (Michael) Hoban, Joanne (Larry) Gustwiller, sons; ‚ Jon E. (Cherri), David (Cindy), Kurt (Robin), Steven (Teena), and Matthew. She also leaves behind 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, brother, Bud (Mary) Merillat, and half-sisters, Mary and Maxine.

She was born on December 10, 1909, to the late Franklin William, Sr. "Frank" and Pearl (Sterling) Blake on the family farm in Henry Twp., Wood County, Ohio. She married Clayton B. Collins on January 24, 1930.
Amelia is survived by her daughter, Beverly S. Haas of Weston, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Patricia J. Collins of Coralville, Iowa; seven grandchildren: Kim (William) Phillips of Grand Rapids, Ohio; Bambi (Tom Frankfather) Hafner of Jerry City, Ohio; RoxAnn (Chip Cope) Neifer, of Portage, Ohio; Christopher (Beth) Collins, of Clarksville, Tennessee; Mary Beth (Tom) Sundblad, of Iowa City, Iowa; Peter (Karen) Collins, of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; Mark (Kathy) Collins, of Fayetteville, Arkansas; great-grandchildren: Billy Phillips, Clayton Phillips, Sarah Phillips, Maranda Hafner, Macy Hafner, Kylie Neifer, Dalton Neifer, Dani Collins, Kristen Collins, JoBeth Collins, Jessica Collins, Nate (Sarah) Sundblad, Mindy (Greg) Lybeck, Lucas Collins, Shaun Collins, Aaron (Autumn) Boyle, Courtney Collins, Scott Collins, Tom Collins; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Palma-Rife-Obit-PhotoPalma T. Rife, age 90, of Bowling Green, OH passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Bowling Green Manor, Bowling Green, OH.
She was born on July 1, 1921 in Toledo, OH to Emil and Hattie (Englehart) Kiel. Palma married Earl "Red" Rife on November 14, 1940 at Grace Lutheran Church in Luckey, OH and he preceded her in death on April 20, 2011.
She retired in 1983 after 29 years of public service where she worked as the Matron at the Wood County Jail and later was the director at the Juvenile Detention Center. She volunteered to deliver wheeled meals on her own for many years and then with her late husband Earl as his navigator. She and "Red" at their 65th wedding anniversary were recognized by the Wood County Committee on Aging for their 15 years of service where they delivered meals five days a week for both the Wood County Hospital and the Bowling Green Senior Center. Palma took dance lessons and loved to travel and like "Red" enjoyed cars, most notably her 71 Mustang Mach I.
