Perrysburg Chorale marks 20th anniversary with concerts
PERRYSBURG -The Perrysburg Symphony Chorale will celebrate its 20th anniversary with two concerts this
weekend.
On Saturday at 2 p.m. the chorale will present a free concert at Way Public Library.
On Sunday at 2 p.m. the Chorale will perform at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church, 871 E. Boundary St. A
free will offering will be accepted.
The chorale will sing selections by Mozart, Brahms, Eric Whitacre, and others.
Solo vocalists and instrumentalists from the Bowling Green State University College of Musical Arts will
also perform.
An incorrect date for Saturday’s concert was published in Thursday’s Sentinel-Tribune.
Fire engulfs semi in NB
NORTH BALTIMORE – A semi tractor-trailer was consumed by fire at the Petro truck stop Thursday.
Firefighters from three departments were called to the scene at Ohio 18 near Interstate 75 about 1:50
p.m.
Within minutes North Baltimore police reported both the cab and trailer of a truck at that location were
fully involved in flames.
Units from Bloomdale, Cygnet and North Baltimore extinguished the flames.
There were no reports of injuries.
A call seeking additional details from Bloomdale Fire Department, the principal fire department on-scene,
was not immediately returned this morning.
Brush pickup set in Pemberville
PEMBERVILLE – Brush pickup in the village starts Monday.
Brush is to be curbside by 7 a.m.
Walk-A-Thon to benefit Nature Center
Show your support for the Wintergarden/St. John’s Nature Preserve by join the BGSU Chapman Learning
Community at the Nature Preserve as they host our first ever Wintergarden Walk-A-Thon on April 12 at 2
p.m.
Partake in a nature walk, enjoy family games, a raffle, and refreshments. Funds are being raised to
renovate the interior of the Nature Center and add a restroom facility. A $5 donation per person is
recommended. Participants may opt for a short, medium, or long version of the hike depending on ability
or age of children.
