No Sentinel on Christmas
There will be no issue of the Sentinel-Tribune on Christmas Day.
Today's Sentinel-Tribune contains comics and features for both today and Wednesday.
All federal, state, county and local offices will be closed Wednesday.

Sex offense in N. Baltimore
NORTH BALTIMORE - A sex offense was reported in the village over the weekend.
The Wood County Sheriff's Office was informed of the incident on Friday at 8:28 a.m.
It was reported in the 4000 block of Mitchell Road

Luminaria due Tuesday night
For the 33rd consecutive year the community of New Rochester will stage their Christmas Eve display of the luminaria in the tradition of "lighting the way for the Christ Child".  
This year's display will consist of approximately 600 luminaria. The public is invited to come see this traditional Christmas Eve event which will begin at dusk.  
The community of New Rochester is located at the intersections of U.S. 6 and Ohio 199 and North River Road, approximately six miles east of Bowling Green.

Two people were hurt in separate accidents occurring Friday.
According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, at 6:55 a.m. Valeri Angles, BG, was eastbound on U.S. 6 at Wapakoneta Road when she reportedly fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the vehicle.
She then crossed the center line of the roadway and crashed and rolled into a ditch on the north side.
Angles sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to Wood County Hospital by Northwest 190 EMS.
She was cited for reasonable control.
At 8:24 p.m. Maynard Tefft, North Baltimore, was westbound on Ohio 18 at Interstate 75 when he reportedly struck a stopped semi-tractor trailer in the back of its trailer. The semi then left the scene.

PERRYSBURG - Two women remained hospitalized this morning after a two-vehicle crash Sunday at Ohio 795 and Cross Roads Parkway.
The crash occurred at 11:05 p.m. when a 2000 Pontiac driven by Pierre Leduc, 20, Elmore, was westbound on Route 795. Leduc's vehicle reportedly failed to yield while turning left onto Cross Roads Parkway and struck a 2013 Chevrolet, driven by a Mandi Sparks, 40, Genoa. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage and were towed from the scene.
Leduc suffered non-life threatening injuries, and was transported to Toledo Hospital.
Sparks and her two other occupants, Jessica Sparks, 17, and Linda Miller, 71, both of Genoa, were transported to Mercy Saint Vincent's Hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper Evan M. Slates has been selected 2013 Post and District Trooper of the Year at the Bowling Green Post and Findlay District.
The selection of Slates, 28, is in recognition of outstanding service during 2013. Fellow officers at the post chose Slates based on leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.
Slates and seven other troopers around the state are now in contention for the State Trooper of the Year Award.
