The sale will be a public auction and the parcels which are being offered due to non-payment of taxes will be sold to the highest bidder. Each property has been forfeited to the state after failing to sell at sheriff's sale.
A list of parcels is available at the Wood County Auditor's Office or online at www.co.wood.oh.us/auditor/. These parcels are located in six different taxing districts in the County as follows: Henry Township, North Baltimore, Lake Township, Millbury, Custar and Risingsun.
There are 15 parcels listed for sale at this date. However, if prior to sale time, the delinquent tax charges are paid by the owner the parcel will be removed from the list. ROSSFORD - Robert Densic will apply to fill the vacant council seat caused by the death of Chuck Duricek on Thanksgiving.
A sharply divided council Monday said it would seek applicants to fill the seat instead of appointing the losing candidate with the highest vote total from the November election. That would be Densic.
Duricek won a third term in that election, garnering the highest vote total in a six-way race for four seats.
Also winning election were Dan Wagner, Caroline Eckel and Jerry Staczek.
City Administrator Ed Ciecka said as of Friday no applications have been submitted to Clerk of Council Robert Watrol.
