Hilfiker, Elmwood Elem. each win one
The Hilfiker Elementary team from Gibsonburg defeated Elmwood Elementary, 72-64 on Feb. 4, but turned
around and lost to Elmwood, 62-58 on Feb. 6.
High scorers for both matches were Jonah Vann for Hilfiker and Cassie Bechstein for Elmwood.
Coaches are Erika Montgomery for Hilfiker and Sandy Laborie for Elmwood.
Eastwood defeats Elmwood, Hilfiker
The Eastwood elementary quiz bowl team has defeated Elmwood, 94 to 54, and Gibsonburg’s Hilfiker, 74-36.

Lewis Rowan was the lead scorer for Eastwood in both matches. Holly Chappuies is the coach.
Top scorers for Elmwood were Cassie Bechstein. Sandy Laborie is the coach.
Megan Widmer was the top scorer for Hilfiker. Erika Montgomery is the coach.
Gibsonburg defeats Lake
On middle school quiz bowl action, Gibsonburg defeated Lake 62-28 at a Feb. 20 match.
High scorer on each team were Timmy Walker and Emily Greene for Lake, and Lucus Rupke for Gibsonburg.
The coaches are Anita Price at Lake and Tom Stewart at Gibsonburg.
Elmwood beats Eastwood
Elmwood Middle School plays Eastwood Middle School Feb. 25, and Elmwood was the winner, 102-74.
High scorer for Elmwood was Evan Frankfather and Katie Smith is the coach.
Top scorer for Eastwood was David Deniston and Diane Swartz is the coach.
