Eastwood Schools Superintendent Brent Welker is one of three finalists for the superintendent's post at Findlay City Schools.
Welker, along with the superintendents of Ayersville Local Schools and Margaretta Local Schools, will be invited to visit Findlay some time this month.
Ten people applied for the post and the district also targeted several candidates.
Welker was one of those targeted, according to Shane Pochard, Findlay school board president.
Pochard said the board's search consultants, Educational Services Center of Central Ohio, made several recommendations in addition to those who applied.
"He was one of the recommendations they made to us," Pochard said about Welker.
"He interviewed well with the board," which led them to a consensus of putting him in the top three, he added.
