Relay for Life team offers breakfast fundraiser
The Eaglettes Relay for Life Team will be holding a breakfast fundraiser Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon or
until gone, at the Bowling Green FOE #2180, 1163 N. Main St.
Breakfast casseroles, hash browns, sausage gravy & biscuits and fruit will be available. A $5
donation is requested.
The meal is open to the public.
Take a walking tour of Waterville
The Historic District walking tours of Waterville will be offered again this Saturday at 10 a.m. starting
at the Robbins House Museum, 114 S. River Road. Both the Robbins House and the Sargent House Museum next
door will be open from 9 a.m. until noon with docents from the Waterville Historical Society providing
information.
Two walking tours will be offered with a longer one including the Third Street business district.
Admission to the museums is free but a $1 donation is requested for the illustrated brochure describing
the architecture and history of the homes on the walking tour.
The museum open houses and walking tours will be offered again on the last Saturdays of July and August.
On those same Saturdays the Wakeman Archives, upstairs at 401 Farnsworth Road will be open from 10 a.m.
until 2 p.m.

Granite City fundraiser benefits Wood County Humane Society
Granite City Food & Brewery, located within the Fallen Timbers Mall in Maumee, will host a
fundraiser benefitting the Wood County Humane Society on Monday. The restaurant will donate to the
non-profit 20 percent of all sales made that day.
To participate, diners must present a special coupon that will be available on the Wood County Humane
Society website and Facebook page.
Dinner benefits Wright family
CYGNET — A benefit to aid Pam Pennington Wright and her medical expenses will be held Saturday at the
Triple B&R Banquet Hall, 157 Bradford St., Cygnet.
Pennington was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and had a double mastectomy. Her cancer reoccurred in
2010 and metastasized to seven places in late 2013, then reoccurred in nine spots and her spine from
mid-neck to tailbone in March.
A taco and nacho dinner will be offered at the event, as will a DJ, raffles, bake sale, 50/50 drawing and
silent auction.
It will run from 2 to 11 p.m. with the meal starting at 2 and served until gone.
Silent auction bids start at 2 and end at 7.
