Women's Club of Bowling Green
The Women's Club met March 5 at the Wood County District Public Library Meeting Room.
President Evelyn Bachman opened the meeting and Sharon Franklin gave the inspiration. Suzanna Eberly, co-owner of Movementality, Yoga & Wellness studio, spoke about the benefits of yoga and the group participated in a mini-yoga class.
Sue DiBiasio was awarded the title Club Woman of the Month for March. Also recognized were the honorees for December and February, Melanie Stretchbery and Mary Mackzum.
Meeting hostesses were Becky Bhaer and Helene Weinberger, co-chairmen, along with committee members Barbara Klopfenstein and Jean Lanning.
Members also met for afternoon coffee on March 9 at the Bowling Green Country Club, where 10 new members were honored and assigned special sisters.

Mary Tonjes, vice president of Alpha Zeta Master Chapter,  Beta Sigma Phi International conducted the March 11 business meeting at the Bowling Green Country Club with five members present.
Linda Harden read city council minutes from December and March. The next council meeting will be a double council and election of officers will be held.
Tonjes received information from International regarding several members who are eligible to receive the next degree, Torch Bearer. Tonjes will notify Ruah Buckingham, City Council vice president.
The rituals will be held at Founder's Day on April 27.
The members thanked the social committee for the Christmas Party and for the past two socials held in January and February. The next social will be Saturday, March 29 at the Hollywood Casino in Toledo.  The time will be determined at the next business meeting.

GRAND RAPIDS - Caroline Battin, Sara Caris and Adeline Smith were interviewed for Buckeye Girls State and the unit decided to send all three as delegates this summer.
The regular unit meeting for March was opened by Vice President Judy Thomas with nine members present.
Membership was approved for Lori Hines.
The meeting was spent discussing reports due in April and May. All members are to bring what they spent and hours served to the April meeting, or call ahead to 419-669-3080 with those figures.
Members will be stuffing the poppy letters on March 27 at 6 p.m. Helpers are needed.
Karen Dress and Barbara Thomas attended County Council on Feb. 3. They reported that the Toledo VA Outpatient Clinic has grown 28 percent.

TONTOGANY - Joyce Asmus hosted the March 3 meeting with all members present.
The Otsego Food Pantry sent thanks for the recent donations from the group.
The chapter's annual Mother's Day observance will be held May 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Tontogany Town Hall.
Members were asked to send a thinking-of-you card to Howard Williams who resides at Wood Haven Health Care Center.
The dice game CLR was played and the hostess served snacks and cake.
The next chapter meeting is March 17. The group will have lunch at The China in Bowling Green at 11:30 a.m. The meeting will follow at the home of Donna Lambert.
Election of new officers will take place.

Middleton Twp. Homemakers
On March 3, eight members attended a class at Ben Franklin Crafts in Bowling Green, where they learned to make a wreath.  
Each women chose the color of the materials to make her wreath. The supplies used were a wire ring, pipe cleaners and deco mesh.  The deco mesh was available in several different colors.
The group then headed for Lola's Frozen Yogurt, also on South Main Street, for dessert. Even though it was cold outside, members still enjoyed their frozen yogurt.
The next club meeting will be held April 7 at the home of Miriam Aufdenkamp, with Betty Wenig as co-hostess.  Middleton Homemakers will have a silent auction of baked goods and household items.  This will help to build up the club treasury.
