THURSDAY
The Dorothy E. and DuWayne H. Hansen Musical Arts Series at BGSU presents "An Evening with Nancy
Giles" at 8 p.m. in Kobacker Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center. Giles is a "CBS Sunday
Morning" contributor, comedian and actress. Free.
FRIDAY
"UpScaled/DownSized," an exhibition of drawings and paintings by 14 artists who portray big
subjects in small formats, opens in the Willard Wankelman Gallery of the Fine Arts Center. None of the
art in the exhibitis larger than one square foot. Hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, 6-9 p.m.
Thursdays and 1-4 p.m. Sundays. Continues through Oct. 4.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY
The College of Musical Arts will host an Alexander Technique Workshop with Dr. James Brody from the
University of Colorado-Boulder. All sessions are free and open to the public. For more information,

SUNDAY
The Faculty Artist Series opens with a recital by Andrew Pelletier, horn, and Kevin Bylsma, piano, at 3
p.m. in the Great Gallery of the Toledo Museum of Art. The program will include "Sonata" for
horn and piano by Paul Hindemith and the American premiere of "Nanga Vigil" for solo horn by
Joseph Landers.
SEPT. 2
Bassoonist Nathaniel Zeisler will present a faculty recital at 8 p.m. in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore
Musical Arts Center.
AT THE GALLERIES
"Loss and Desire," an exhibition of paintings by BGSU senior Ross Roadruck of Cincinnati,
continues through Sept. 6 in the Bowen-Thompson Student Union Art Gallery. Gallery hours are 8 a.m. to 9
p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays.
