Gallery Hops begin in BG
Summer Gallery Hops sponsored by The Bowling Green Arts Council will get underway today from 5 to 7 p.m.

The monthly hops are also scheduled for July 3 and Aug. 7.
Participating venues are:
• Myles Baker Street Gallery, 434 E. Wooster St., will feature paintings and drawings by Randy Bennett
and Richard Gullett. Live music and refreshments will be provided.
• Becky Laabs at art-a-site!, 116 S. Main St., will preview her newest venture, "art after
hours." This event is a p-ART-nership between art-a-site! and SamB’s Restaurant. The first painting
party will be held June 17.
• SamB’s, 163 S. Main St., hosts an ongoing show throughout the restaurant sponsored by PRIZM Creative
Community. View more than 100 pieces of art including painting, sculpture, glass, jewelry and
photography.
• Cafe Havana, 309 S. Main St., is showing landscape paintings by Beth Genson.

WGTE to tell MCO’s story
TOLEDO – WGTE Public Television will broadcast "MCO: A History of Healing and Teaching" tonight
at 8
The Medical College of Ohio is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
The hour-long film, part of the ‘Toledo Stories" series, describes, through interviews, archival and
contemporary images and footage, how a shortage of physicians and nurses in northwest Ohio in the 1950s
and early 1960s inspired plans for a new medical school, now the University of Toledo Medical Center.

Actors group to stage ‘Glengarry’
TOLEDO – The Actors Collaborative Toledo will present a concert reading of "Glengarry Glen
Ross" by David Mamet June 14 at 8 p.m. in the Recital Hall at the University of Toledo’s Center for
Performing Arts, 2801 W. Bancroft St.
Directed by Kate Abu-Absi and featuring Jeffrey Albright, John DuVall, Matthew Gretzinger, James
MacFarlane, Qarie Marshall, Brad Smith and Kenney Wieland.
Tickets are $10.
