The Northwestern Water and Sewer District delivers water and sewer services to over 20,000 customers in Wood, Henry, Sandusky and Hancock counties. Although many projects are performed underground, utility work can impact on water and sewer service in addition to roads throughout our service area.

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District’s Maintenance Department will be flushing and testing fire hydrants beginning Wednesday through Aug. 11.

PERRYSBURG — The Northwestern Water and Sewer District was named the Wood County Economic Development Commission’s Corporate Citizen of the Year at the annual dinner on Thursday.

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District has awarded 10 grants valued at over $5,000 to fund water-focused educational programs in local schools.

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District is receiving $560,054 at 3.42% for 20 years for the construction of 2,600 feet of waterline between Tracy and Oregon roads in Perrysburg Township to extend service to an industrial user.

A 3.74% increase in water rates and a 3.04% increase in sewer rates were approved Thursday by the Northwestern Water and Sewer District Board of Trustees.
