WESTON — Tilapia aren’t just for dinner anymore — they can also keep your water garden or pond clean.

Pools of standing water in agricultural areas and in low-lying areas of residential communities from above average rainfall throughout much of Ohio this past spring has certainly benefited mosquitoes.

PERRYSBURG — Teens from across Northwest Ohio are converging at Wood County parks to do conservation and restoration projects as part of the Toledo ZooTeen Program.

The 94th State FFA Convention returned in person for the first time in 2 years at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio, from May 5-6.

This past week, I was shopping at a garden center when I overheard a conversation about peonies and ants. Two families were discussing how their peonies were beginning to flower and were covered in ants. Also, they mentioned ants were there last year while the peonies were in flower. The other family asked, should we plant peonies? I do not want the ants in my house.

After two years, the Bowling Green FFA members, parents and community supporters were finally able to come together and hold an in-person annual banquet, celebrating 91 years.

SWANTON — The headlining music acts have been announced for this year’s Fulton County Fair.
