GLCAP offers Home Weatherization Assistance Program

Residents in Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood counties who are feeling the effects of the cold may be eligible for no-cost weatherization services through Great Lakes Community Action Partnership (GLCAP).

The GLCAP Home Weatherization Assistance Program (HWAP) improves home energy usage by providing attic and wall insulation and other upgrades that help homes retain heat and keep the cold air outside. HWAP also provides energy-efficient furnaces and water heaters, wrapped ductwork, and energy-saving water measures that help lower home energy usage and utility expenses.

The service is available at no-cost for eligible residents of Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, and Wood counties at or below 200% of federal poverty guidelines (e.g. $60,000 annual gross income/household of four).
