Assistance available for propane, fuel supply refilling

0

Residents who need to replenish propane, wood pellet or other fuel supplies may be eligible for help through the Great Lakes Community Action Partnership Winter Crisis Program.

The program helps income-eligible households in Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky and Seneca counties with refilling household fuel supplies that are running low (25% supply or less). The program also helps residents who are at risk of a utility shut-off or have disconnected utilities.

To qualify, residents must be at or below 175% of federal poverty guidelines (e.g. $23,783 annual income/household of one; $48,563 annual income/family of four). Applicants must also provide a list of all household members, including social security numbers and birthdates; proof of citizenship for all household members; proof of income for all household members for the previous 30 days or 12 months; and copies of recent utility bills.
