Otsego High School

Tontogany — Sofia Ellis has been named the November Student of the Month at Otsego High School.

Also honored were junior Emily Genson, sophomore Riley Rowe and freshman Sophia Schroeder.

Ellis is the daughter of Bryan and Kendra Ellis, Bowling Green. She is a two-year member of National Honor Society and is president this year and a three-year member of student council, and also is serving as president.

She has been in band for four years and is first chair clarinet and a section leader.

She competes in both varsity soccer and varsity track.

She plans to major in journalism and minor in political science at an undecided university.

Genson is the daughter of Neil and Natalie Genson, Weston. She is a member of National Honor Society and Knights Have Your Back.

She has participated in volleyball, basketball, track and the musical production of “The Little Mermaid.”

She also has been a member of the Latitude 41 Volleyball Club for six years.

She volunteers at the Cherry Street Mission, Art Tatum Zone and Haskins Community Church.

Rowe is the daughter of Abe and Josie Rowe, Grand Rapids. As a freshman, she set the school record for fielding in softball with a 0.975.

She is a member of Knights Have Your Back and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Campaign at Otsego.

Schroeder, Grand Rapids, is the daughter of Niki Schroeder and Jeff Schroeder. She is a member of choir, swing choir, cheer, dance and the musical.

She volunteers at the Toledo Zoo.

North Baltimore High School

NORTH BALTIMORE — The North Baltimore High School staff selected Austin Delgado to be Student of the Month for November.

He is a solid student academically, and has set an example for his peers and underclassmen. As a member of the track, bowling and E-sports teams, he has proven himself as a competitor and leader.

He is a member of the art club and won the Graphic Design Excellence Award.

After graduation, he plans on becoming an automotive technician.
