As a team, the Falcons posted a score of 871, finishing in a tie with Dayton and trailing Oakland (863) and Butler (865).

The event was held at the Lakewood Country Club, a Par-71, 7,059-yard course.

Individually, Tom Bell led the Falcons by finishing tied for No. 10 at 3-over-par 216 (73-70-73).

“We had a solid event this week and I’m very proud of Tom (Bell) to earn a Top-10 in his first D-I college event,” said BGSU coach John Powers.

“It was great for this squad to be in contention early in the season. We have a few things to clean up and should expect to be in this position frequently throughout the year,” Powers said.

Rounding out the team standings were Northern Kentucky (875), Robert Morris (876), Purdue Fort Wayne (882) Youngstown State (885), IUPUI (886), Green Bay (886), Loyola Chicago (890), Cleveland State (894), St. Francis (915) and Eastern Illinois (917).
