Rossford OK payment in lieu of taxes agreement
ROSSFORD – The board of education approved an enterprise zone agreement related top the expansion of IC
Fluid Power on Wales Road.
The company is investing $1.4 million in the project. The payment in lieu of taxes agreement is expected
to net the district $19,300 annually for 10 years probably starting in 2016, Treasurer James Rossler
said last week.
The agreement approved board stipulates that the money "will not be used for staff
compensation."
Perrysburg cheerleading team heads to regional competition
PERRYSBURG – On Sunday, the competitive cheerleading team at Perrysburg High School placed first at the
New Year’s Classic Cheerleading Competition at Clay High School.
This Saturday, they are competing at Anthony Wayne High School in an OASSA Regional Competition at 1:30
p.m. If they qualify, the team will be heading to OASSA State Competition at OSU on March 2.
UF hosts STEM Visit Day
The University of Findlay will host STEM Visit Day for students interested in careers in the science,
technology and math fields, on Feb. 18.
Attendees also may choose to attend an on-campus job fair to check out one of the many services offered
to UF students each year.
