Chauncey Orr is looking forward to playing two more years with the Bowling Green men’s basketball team.

Orr, the son of former BG head coach Louis Orr, will be a redshirt junior for the Falcons next season.

"That’s my plan. Until told other wise, I want to be here with my brothers, and my family, and coach
(Chris) Jans, who I think is a great guy. I’m ready to get this started, to get this show on the
road," Orr said Tuesday afternoon after Jans was formally announced as BG’s new head coach.
"I’m excited. I talked with my family, and I talked with my dad, he’s accepting with whatever I do.
He’s just here to support me in all my endeavors, and I love him for that.”
A first-team All-Ohio selection at Bowling Green High School, Orr played in 61 games his first two
seasons with the Falcons. He suffered a season-ending knee injury in BG’s opener this season.
For his Falcons’ career, the 6-foot-4 Orr has scored 294 points and grabbed a 135 rebounds.
"He brought the sternness and he brought the excitement. He said we were going to work, and he said
we were going to win,” Orr said about Jans’ meeting with the players Monday night.
Orr said he plans to continue rehabilitate his knee, which is not 100 percent yet.
"Hopefully, come summer time, I will be 100 percent, and be able to work on my game," Orr said.
