Robert W. Ebersole, 86, of Port Charlotte, Florida and formerly of Bowling Green, passed away Wednesday,
January 22, 2014 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.
He was born November 9, 1927 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to the late Harry and Edna Ebersole. Robert married
Mary Lewis and she preceded him in death on July 18, 1970.
He is survived by his daughters: Judy (Roger) Boyle of Weston, OH and Robin (Dusty) Garwood of Bradner,
OH; sons, Michael (Debi) Ebersole of Bowling Green and Jeffrey Ebersole of Weston, OH; and
grandchildren: Kristy (Lance) Van Vorhis, Kevin (Brandi) Ebersole and Sara Boyle.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Saam and a nephew, Rick Saam.
Robert moved to Port Charlotte in 1989 from Bowling Green, Ohio. Robert was employed with the Wood County
Hospital when it first opened in 1951 as an X-Ray Technician retiring in 1989. Robert also was an
ambulance driver for the Deck Funeral Home.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II.
A Memorial Gathering in Robert’s honor will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014 from 3 to 6 p.m. in the
DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, where
Military Honors will be rendered at 6 p.m.
