Perrysburg Schools has announced a vigil tomorrow and made counseling available to those affected by the
death of a student.
High school Principal Michael Short notified students, parents and staff in a letter this afternoon that
a student, Valerie Bennett, died Tuesday.
The district announced a private, student-organized vigil for 7 p.m. Thursday at the high school softball
field, with the high school gym as a rain location.

Counselors are available to all members of the school community at the high school Wednesday through
Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Students and parents may also contact Children’s Resource Center 24 hours a
