Evelyn J. Hoodlebrink Smith, 88, of Fostoria, formerly of Wayne, died unexpectedly Wednesday,
December 4, 2013.She was predeceased by her first husband of 31 years, Clarence H. Hoodlebrink and their
infant daughter, Debbie; her second husband of 30 years, C. Ray Smith; and her sister, Lucille Emch.Evelyn
was a graduate of Webster High School in Stony Ridge. A loving wife, mother, and devoted homemaker, she
later joined her husband, Clarence, in operating their meat market and grocery, Hoodlebrink’s Market in
Wayne.Several years after the untimely death of Clarence in 1978, she met and was blessed with a happy
marriage to C. Ray Smith, of Fostoria.Above all, she will be remembered for the ways she shaped her family,
passing on traditions, priorities, and faith.Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Good
