ROSSFORD – A city woman has been cited following a Saturday accident in which two pedestrians were
struck.Rossford Police Chief Glenn Goss said that the incident was reported at 8:25 p.m. in the parking lot
of Giant Eagle on U.S. 20.Goss said at that time Heidi Kanary, 49, Rossford, struck a shopping cart carrying
a three-year-old Toledo boy. The boy fell out of the cart, and the cart also struck his 33-year-old
father.Kanary then reportedly drove from the scene, and the vehicle later struck a utility pole on Lime City
Road near Glenwood School.Kanary was cited for operating a vehicle while under the influence and failure to
control, and taken to an area hospital by Perrysburg Township Fire/EMS.She was to be arraigned today in
Perrysburg Municipal Court.The man and his son, whose identities have not yet been released, refused
treatment at the scene.The investigation is ongoing, pending possible additional charges.
